Brief Introduction

Tortilla Chips Extruder Line is a dedicated extrusion-based production solution for manufacturing crispy tortilla triangle chips. Built around twin-screw extrusion technology, this production system finishes grain powder mixing, high-temperature gelatinization and puffing extrusion continuously. Matching downstream forming, cutting, frying and flavoring modules enables food manufacturers to get stable finished triangular tortilla chip products.

Buyers can select only core extruder unit or adopt full auxiliary supporting configuration according to actual plant layout. Two mature models SLG65-III and SLG70-II satisfy different production throughput requirements. High-strength nitrided alloy steel is adopted for screw assemblies to guarantee stable long-time operation. Production capacity can be adjusted freely via frequency-conversion drive system. Operators can obtain tortilla chips of different sizes and thickness by replacing forming dies and cutting spare components.

Raw Materials & Output Blanks

Corn flour, rice flour, wheat flour and diversified blended grain powder can be processed on this extruder line. Inside extrusion barrel, powder raw materials achieve sufficient mixing and high-temperature gelatinization treatment. Extruded semi-finished materials will be shaped into triangular blanks, ready for subsequent frying processing steps.

Gearbox is equipped with independent forced lubrication structure to reduce part abrasion under continuous long-hour industrial running.

Every heating segment of extruder barrel supports independent temperature setting, which facilitates formula debugging and new product trial production. Full disassembly of barrel is not needed during formula switching, shortening production change-over time effectively. Great raw-material compatibility supports both single grain powder and compound mixed formulas, helping factories expand tortilla chip product portfolio.

Production Workflow

Raw grain powder completes mixing procedure firstly, and is transported through screw conveyor into extruder for puffing extrusion. Processed materials go into triangular forming-cutting station, then pass fryer, flavoring unit, cooling conveyor and packing equipment for final tortilla chip finished goods.
